I like learning new things. For instance,
today I learned that I made a terrible mistake putting Madison Bumgarner on
waivers.
Well at least I think I did.
When I drafted him in the third round I
didn’t know he was injured (I learned that was something I should check first
too). On further inspection he was out until at least mid-May.
What to do?
Given that I’ve learned never to trust a
single thing a team manager says, I figured that could easily mean June.
Then he’d need to find his groove again,
wouldn’t he? I mean, you don’t just march back to the mound and pick up where
you left off (in 2016).
That seemed too long. So I put him on
waivers.
He was picked up immediately.
That was wrong, right?
